Make-Up Day Scheduled for February 15
All Rio Rancho Public Schools students will attend classes on Monday, February 15 (President’s Day) to make up for the cancellation of classes on December 8th due to high winds that knocked out the district’s school bus communications systems.
February 15th is the first of the days identified in this year’s school calendar as a possible make-up day. The district chose this day to preserve subsequent make-up days in the calendar (April 5 and 30) in case inclement weather later in the winter season forces further school closures (view the inclement weather schedule here). Parents are advised at the beginning of each school year to avoid making plans that cannot be changed on potential weather make-up days.
