We use this information only as anonymous aggregate data to determine the number of visitors to different sections of our sites and to help us make our sites more useful. We do not use it to track or record information about individuals. Generally, we delete this information after one year.

of communications through our website. We DO NOT gather
any identifying information about students. We display

Definition and use of a “cookie”
A “cookie” is a small text file that a web
site can place on your computer’s hard drive in
order, for example, to collect information about your
activities on the site or to make it possible for you
to maintain your “session” while you’re
visiting. The cookie transmits basic information back
to the web site’s computer which, generally speaking,
is the only computer that can read it. At no time is any
personal information stored in a cookie, nor is any tracking
information made available to other sites for any reason.
If you want to know when a cookie is being used, or to
prevent it from happening, you can set your browser to
warn you when a web site attempts to place a “cookie”
on your computer. Here’s how to configure your browser
for cookies:
Internet Explorer:
If you’re using IE 6.0+, use the Tools
menu to access Internet Options. Under Receiving Files,
select Cookies. Next to When Receiving Cookies, you can
select either Never Ask, Ask for each site, or Ask for
each cookie. This controls whether your browser prompts
you for incoming cookies, or accepts them.
Mozilla Firefox:
Click Tools, Options, then the Privacy tab. Here you can tell Firefox how long to retain cookies, what cookies to block and how to protect your private information. You can also click a button to clear out all your cookies (or just certain ones).
Netscape Navigator:
Choose Edit from your pull-down menu and select Preferences.
Select Advanced and click on the appropriate cookie option.
